Addressing Gaudenzia's Data Integration and Usability Issues

Gaudenzia has been grappling with managing patient treatment and history data for quite a long time. Their outdated software created numerous issues—frustrating end users with its outdated UI, lacking reporting capabilities, and missing essential functionalities. The rehabilitation institution required an updated system that would streamline and unify data entry processes for collecting patient treatment information, addiction histories, and behavioral factors.

Gaudenzia aimed to implement a centralized hub that would allow for end-to-end data collection with the capability to engage patients via CTI and other messaging channels. Additionally, they needed a solution that could seamlessly send information to third-party medical systems using custom APIs tailored to specific data formats.

The solution

Building a Centralized Data System for Gaudenzia

Redtag developed a custom data model specifically tailored to Gaudenzia's evolving needs and business workflows. We configured a series of survey-type forms to collect related patient information and corresponding treatment history. Recognizing the importance of efficient communication, we set up and configured Salesforce Service Cloud CTI with Amazon Connect as the telephony provider. This setup enabled care providers to perform client outreach via calls, and allowed them to capture phone call sessions and transcripts to gather detailed information.

To ensure seamless data transfer, we built a proprietary REST API connector for integration with the Avatar medical data warehouse. Additionally, we implemented a series of no-code and low-code automations to enhance business processes and increase time efficiency. To provide better visibility and insights, we configured a set of reports and dashboards to capture key performance indicators (KPIs) and offer a comprehensive view of the data.

The RESULT

Boosting Productivity and Patient Care through System Integration

The outcome was a centralized system for tracking patient data, disease history, and treatment information. The implementation of CTI drastically improved user productivity by consolidating all necessary information into a single system. The new system resolved common issues faced by Gaudenzia, allowing them to outperform their previous capabilities. With this enhanced solution, Gaudenzia can now manage their mountain of data more effectively, ensuring positive customer experiences and creating a lot of value for both patients and care providers. The ability to switch between different tasks without the need for a swivel chair approach has ramped up the efficiency of their operations, taking on the evolving needs of their community with outstanding results.
